Special Hazard Systems Inspection Process

Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems

At Adam’s Fire Protection, we offer kitchen fire suppression installation and service maintenance to make sure your system performs as it is intended. Our primary goal is to make sure your system is reliable, effective and in compliance with local ordinance requirements.

We install and routinely inspect your kitchen fire suppression system.

Not only must your system be inspected semi-annually, but you need to have your Hood & Duct cleaned on a quarterly basis to meet NFPA criteria.

Michigan Special Hazard Fire Suppression

We design and implement unique fire suppression systems for the most complicated fire hazard environments.  Our fire protection systems currently guard mission-critical systems all over Southeast Michigan.

From custom designing a turnkey clean agent system integrated with a pre-action dry pipe sprinkler system for a data centers to producing a fully enclosed system to protect electrical switchgear rooms on an oil platform in Detroit, we have done it.

The primary key factor in protecting mission-critical facilities is the rapid detection of fire in its developing stage. Accurate fire alarm and control functions alert people and initiate emergency procedures. Our clean, fast-acting fire suppression systems prevent significant injury to people and damage to property and business continuity.

Types of Special Hazard Suppression Systems

Clean Agent Suppression System

Clean Agent Hazard systems employ gases that are safe for humans and the environment.  Our unique hazard suppressions systems are perfect for all occupied locations that are valuable and support safety for the occupants.

CO2 Suppression System

High pressure and low-pressure CO2 systems can be customized to protect everything from whole buildings to a particular piece of equipment with systems that differ in sizes from 50 pounds to 60 tons.

Aerosol Suppression System

Aerosol hazard fire suppressant is a potassium-based chemical that suppresses fire by interfering with the free radicals of flames.  These systems are ideal for protecting small rooms.

CO2 Maintenance Schedule

  • 5-year Hydrostatic Test (occurs if cylinders holding agent have been emptied before)
  • 12-year Hydrostatic Test (occurs if cylinders have never been emptied before or discharged)

Clean Agent Maintenance Schedule

  • 6 Month inspection of the suppression agent containers (to confirm accurate pressure and weight)
  • One Year inspection and testing of the entire suppression system (which includes: initiating devices, release devices, pipes, nozzles, agent containers, and signals)
  • Five Year certified inspection of containers (to reduce the likelihood of the need to hydrostatic test)
